The 3 Series is O'Neal's mid-range motocross helmet, built on a lightweight ABS shell that O'Neal lists at about 1,340 g (±50) in size large. Two outer shell sizes paired with two EPS sizes give a closer fit across the size run, and full venting with internal channels pulls air through the helmet.
Details borrowed from the race helmets include laser-cut, pre-shaped cheek pads with E.Q.R.S. emergency pull tabs, a Double-D chin strap, and a stepless adjustable visor on a break-away screw. It suits regular riders and club racers who want a lighter, better-fitting helmet; it meets DOT and adult sizes run XS–XXL.
